Guided Imagery
Guided Imagery is the use of images, dreams, imagination, memory,and
visions…it involves all of the senses. It is a state of relaxed yet alert focus which is easily
experienced by many people.
Guided Imagery can be used to relieve
stress, gain awareness and insight, and find solutions to problems. Rather than searching “out there”
for answers, guided imagery allows you to go inward, quiet the internal chatter, listen to your inner voice and honor and
trust the wisdom of your deeper self.
A typical
session begins with breathing and relaxation techniques. As your body relaxes, you are able to calm your
mind. As you become present in the moment, you are able to tap into inner wisdom and explore solutions
to challenges in your health, your career, or your relationships.
